Biography

Asa Anderson is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music feels like it was born between silence and storm. A messenger for the natural world, he translates what the earth feels but cannot say — through songs that move like tides and linger like candlelight. His guitar carries warmth and intimacy, his voice a steady current of faith, reflection, and quiet strength.

Blending soul, pop, and folk with poetic storytelling, Asa’s sound is both grounding and transcendent. The ocean taught him rhythm, the trees gave him patience, and the wind pressed melodies against his skin until he could no longer keep them inside. When he sings, petals swayed and shadows seem to lean closer; each note becomes a letter from the earth itself. Asa carries these messages written in salt and soil.

A graduate of USC’s Thornton School of Music, Asa began his career studying jazz bass before stepping fully into his own artistry as a vocalist and songwriter. His music has been featured on NBC, ABC, and the Hallmark Channel, and he’s performed at venues including the Sundance Film Festival. Backed by an acclaimed band featuring Erik Kertes (Michael Bublé), Kiel Feher (Maroon 5), and Dennis Hamm (Thundercat), and mixed by Grammy winner Bob Horn, Asa’s latest project embodies his belief in music’s power to heal and reconnect.

Inspired by artists like Sting, Sade, and John Mayer, Asa writes songs for the in-between moments — where self-doubt meets grace, and where love becomes the language of transformation. Through candles, waves, smoke, and shadow, his music reveals what the world has been whispering all along: that beauty and truth are not things we find, but things we remember.
